The Secret Wisdom of Animals: Misunderstood
The Secret Wisdom of Animals: Misunderstood Kim Malonie
I am sixteen years old, and I have my first horse, a twenty-three-year-old mare named Aquamarine. She was neglected and abused by her previous owners and doesn’t take the bit well. She throws her head back and tries to get out of it. I’m not sure what the problem is. She intimidates my father and most of the other horses. She’s brave and has a lot of spirit. In my heart, I really don’t think she’s mean. I hope you can help me with her issues. I love animals, and I really want to keep her. I sent a picture of her so that you can see how beautiful she is.

Aquamarine: Hi, this is Aquamarine! I really am a beauty, if I do say so myself! Thank you for caring enough to ask Kim how to help me. I love you like a mother, you know. You’re the first person ever to actually care about me and take care of my needs. I know it’s hard to believe, but I really love you and my new family. Thank you for knowing I am not really mean, just misunderstood. [Big horse grin with teeth showing.]
