Essences of Nature: Regaining the Power to Participate Fearlessly in Love
Essences of Nature: Regaining the Power to Participate Fearlessly in Love Mary Ann Altamarino Antenucci
As we near our favorite holiday of love, it prompts the question, モWho do we love?ヤ Do we love our significant other? Do we love ourselves? How does the way and manner in which we love fulfill or deny us? What do we expect when we say, モI love youヤ? What do we feel when someone declares his or her love for us? Do we feel entitled? Do we feel deserving? Do we feel reciprocated? Do we feel unworthy?
Love makes us question who and what we love. It makes us take an inventory of what love means. Does it make us claustrophobic? Does it make us feel warm and cozy and impart us with the feeling that everything is going to be all right?
Love is an integral part of who we are. It is a primal emotion and an action, and it confuses us with its depth and power. What would love look like if we could fully participate? What would love look like if we werenメt so afraid? What would love look like if we had wide-open hearts? In yoga, there is an asana: モwarrior with a wide open heart.ヤ What would love look like if we were fearless?
