Young People Ask: "How Can I Live a Benevolent and Responsible Life in these Chaotic Times Titian through Robert Shapiro
All right. I know you want names and my genetic history, but let’s do that at the end. Question?
Okay, this question is from Gabriel. She asks, “How do I find my life’s calling?” She explains, “The reason I feel this question is important is because it pertains to all humans. All beings want to feel a greater sense of purpose here on the planet now. How do I find my calling? What are some signs that I might be on the right path? Maybe there’s not one specific calling; there could be many, as life is continuously changing and so are our desires.”
This is a good question, especially for people who are in situations such as going to school. They’re trying to find the best way to make a living or trying to find a pathway that will feel good to them and perhaps do good for others. So in a way, it’s like, “How do I find my fulfillment?” at least, in a creative way.
This is what I recommend for you: In a world where unpredictability is the constant, as you find yourself in now — even though there are trends going on all the time and fads that one could choose to follow — if you wish to have a path that is your own, the best thing you can do is to pay attention to how you physically feel. When you feel attracted to a trend, do you feel excitement? Is it fun? This is something that you can take note of and say to yourself, “Well, maybe I’ll do a little of that just for fun.”
