Beloved children of the Creator, Eagle is sailing on the prevailing cooling winds through the canyons and valleys of Mesa Verde. She flies closer to the ground as the mice and small animals find less food and look for winter shelter. The sun is setting sooner, and long shadows are growing into the mountaintops and penetrating the Anasazi ruins.

Rabbit is looking inward to find a burrow, and Bear is already eager to retire in a warm, secure cave. All signs of fall and the approaching winter are settling in as Jack Frost makes his way into the landscape, slowing the summer growth as harvest approaches.

The summer has been good. Mother Earth produced enormous growth and plentiful vegetation with monsoons and hot, sunny days. Native produce and markets have been welcomed and enjoyed. The Three Sisters are reveling in abundance.
