My dog’s name is Charlie, and he is about two years old. I adopted him last June from Just Paws Animal Rescue, and I’ve had him seven months. He began exhibiting weird and disturbing behavior about a month ago. He has become very reactive.

When he is outside, he starts barking and lunging and losing his mind, such as when we are walking down the street (and even sometimes in the car) and he sees a dog or something. He even freaks out if he’s in the yard and the guy in the basement (who he loves) comes through the gate. A few times when people were coming in or leaving, he has lunged and nipped at them. The nipping is becoming an issue. He goes from a super sweet, mellow guy to a crazy, lunging, barking fool.

I lost my job a month ago (I’m very happy about it), so I am home more, and the tenant downstairs was laid off and is also home more. I had stopped giving Charlie an herbal remedy for anxiety, but I have restarted that. I had a mild concussion, and he didn’t get out much. I am wondering whether you can ask him these questions:
